Syncing iPhone Photos both ways from & to computer

Definitely one of the poorest iTunes features is the way it handles Pictures

Whether you want to:

  • Get Photos off iPhone
  • Download Photos to iPhone
  • Transfer Pictures from iPhone to Computer
  • Copy Photos from iPhone to PC
  • Add Photos to iPhone
  • Delete / Remove / Erase Photos individually from iPhone
  • etc...

iTunes is way too limited

What we need is a visual interface with thumbnails we can drag between iPhone Albums and Computer Folders

We've been looking around for a long time and tested all possible iPhone Photo Management softwares
Most were disappointing until we bumped into a pretty cool piece of software

It's a two-sided Program, which clearly shows iPhone Photographs on one side and Computer Pictures on the other

You can move, drag photos both ways from Computer to iPhone and the other way round, create Photo Albums, rename and edit existing ones, etc...

Give it a try and let us know what you think by dropping comments below

Syncing iPhone without iTunes

A typical alternative iPhone manager ( click to enlarge )

Even though iTunes is a wonderful application with amazing features (I personally love to listen to online radios with iTunes), some of us don't want to install iTunes or just can't, for example at work where Administrator rights are required

Luckily for us, several Free Alternative iPhone Managers are available out there, some good some less good
Some are "portable", which means they don't require any installation and, hence, can be used without Administrator privileges

Among their most wanted features are:

  • Add Music to iPhone without iTunes
  • Manage iPhone playlists without iTunes
  • Delete songs from iPhone without iTunes
  • Etc...

The author's choice is this one

It's amazingly light and fast. It downloads and opens in a blink. You are ready to Manage your iPhone Songs and Playlists within a few seconds as opposed to iTunes that takes ages to download and install

It's reliable: it didn't messed up any of the iPod, iPhone & iPad we used for the tests, including the latest iPhone 4 and iPad, which is where all other Free Alternative iPhone Management softwares failed

Its interface is intuitive and easy to understand
It's richly featured with playlists creation and renaming
The built-in player is minimal, but does what it's meant to

Finally, the program is portable ( = does not need to be installed ), so you can use it on your work Computer or even run it from a USB Flash drive and you are sure it won't mess up your Computer

Best of all, it's Free !

Notes & possible issues

  • This solution is compatible with all iPhone versions, including all iPod, iPhone 4 and iPad

Syncing iPhone with multiple iTunes

Note: if you want to Synchronize iPhone with several Computers click here

When you search over the Internet How to synchronize iPhone with multiple iTunes libraries, all you can find are solutions to Synchronize iPhone with several PC

We are looking for just the opposite: Manage several iTunes libraries on a single Computer

Indeed.
What if, within a household, every person wants to keep his / her iTunes library separated from the others'?
More simply, you may want to create an iTunes library for each of your iPod / iPhones and switch between them on the same Computer

The only application we found able to do this is this one

It will allow you to create multiple iTunes libraries on a single computer and keep them separated without any risk of accidental mix-up

Notes & possible issues

  • This solution is compatible with all iPhone & iTunes versions
  • Once set up, this program allows you to switch between as many iTunes libraries as you want. It's like having several iTunes on one Computer
  • Once you created more than one iTunes library on a single Computer, you can Transfer Music from an iPhone to a dedicated iTunes library
